The Enduring, A Masks: A New Generation Playbook

You were the newest rising star of the hero world. But not anymore, you've lost what you thought made you special. You could have hung it up then, but there was work to be done. Others may think you’re washed up or out of your depth, but you know powers or no powers you are a hero.

The Enduring is an unofficial playbook for Masks: A New Generation by Brendan Conway. The Enduring is a playbook about playing a hero who has lost their powers but has decided to keep on being a hero. It deals in themes of loss, recovery and how you redefine yourself after a loss.

This is a perfect second playbook for a character who loses their powers, for example a doomed who defeats their doom, but doesn't feel like the beacon fits their new arc.

This playbook has been updated since it originally appeared in The Fan Favorite, with expanded and updated text, new art, and full playbook layout.
